I feel the edges of sickness crawling back into my bloodstream and to be perfectly honest, I am less than pleased. Though, after a night of polishing off a liter of Malibu by myself and exposing myself to allergins for extended periods of time, I guess I have only myself to blame. A friend of mine recently returned from the Dominican Republic and has got swine flu paranoia. Perhaps it was less than smart to spend an entire drunken night with him, eh?
Ah my stupidity is my own fault. The common sense I seem to posess goes straight out the window when a good time presents itself. Why am I a slave to my impulses?

Besides the possibility of my impending doom, I've been enjoying my time back at UND. The friends and good times keep on keepin' on and really, who am I to complain? I'm taking 17 credits this fall, which is more than I've ever taken before. My Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be the real killer; 8am to 2pm. It's just like I'm back in high school, except no breaks. I expect my social life to dwindle as I cannot have a repeat performance of last year's exam disaster. Plus, with a job I hope to get, I'll have little time for much of anything besides my studies.
I've applied basically all over Grand Forks and I had an interview for Spencer's Gifts (yes, I realize the irony) last Thursday and I have another for Bath and Body Works on Monday. I'm really hoping I get hired at the former, just because it is an entirely badass place to work.

In matters of love and longing, I am in a boat I've been in too many times before and I guess I can say that I never really learn. I've come to the realization of a few things in recent weeks, things I'm not quite ready to share, but perhaps will emerge in future pieces.
I've got itchy fingers once more though nothing is coming together as I'd like it to. Too often I'll embark on a piece and I'll have trouble getting erratic thoughts to flow and meld like they ought to. Maybe I'll post one on here. Let it go out into cyberspace in it's undoneness and see what becomes of it.

I'm seeing Ani Difranco on the 18th. I couldn't be more excited. <3
